Will is 1!

Recently Spencer & I were watching the video we took a few hours after Will was born. I nearly gave myself whiplash looking from the baby on the screen to the little boy standing next to the coffee table pretending to talk on Daddy's cell phone. How could he change so much in just one year?

We went to the doctor yesterday, so now we have an official height (30.5 inches) and weight (25 lbs 2 oz).

We had Will's birthday party on Sunday. Uncle Jordan came from Iowa, Grandpa & Grandma Brink, Auntie Shawna and cousin Taelynn came from Minnesota, and Grandpa & Grandma Johnson came from North Dakota. It was wonderful to have everyone here to celebrate Will's "puppy party." Will was completely spoiled by everyone. Here's some pictures from the weekend and of Will playing in his new pool.

11 Months

A lot has happened in the last month! William has tripled his vocabulary, adding: "ball," "car," "kiki" (kitty), and "pat" (which he says while patting his lap thanks to watching too many episodes of "Little Einsteins" in the morning when Mommy is too sleepy to entertain him). He has gotten quite proficient at pulling up to his knees and drinking from a cup. He is still having trouble getting himself in a standing position though. He has also recently begun crawling on all fours, but he still seems to prefer to crawl on his belly most of the time. Will has completely ditched all baby food now, and insists on feeding himself almost everything (including oatmeal). He likes vegetables but we can't convince him to eat fruit! He spits it right out!
