Busy Baby

It's hard to believe Will has only been with us for 3 weeks. There was been a lot happening! First, Grandma and Grandpa Brink came to visit for a few days. They were a great help around the house, and we did manage to fit in a little fun. William had his first official outing to Eagle Point Park with Grandma & Grandpa. Unfortunately the day they left, we found out we have to move out of our townhouse at the end of the month. Fortunately, Grandmas and Grandpas don't seem to mind us mooching off them this summer as long as we bring the baby :)

We also spent a few days in Fairbury, where Spencer did his candidacy was unanimously approved by the congregation. He also was approved by the COM, so now he just needs to go before Presbytery for approval in July. Thank you for all your prayers! We are so excited to get to Fairbury in August and get to know everyone there. They were so warm and welcoming to us.

Grandpa Wade has been visiting for a few days, and has been a big help--cooking, helping Spencer move stuff to our storage unit and holding baby whenever we need.

Sadly, we have had to say goodbye to many of our dear friends over the last week or so, which makes us all the more anxious for our new adventure. We will probably be without internet over the next month or so, but we will post to let you know how we are doing when we get to Fairbury. Love to all, Alyssa

Day 4, Getting into the groove.

William is getting into his own little groove and things are going well. He is such a good baby, he makes my and Alyssa's job look easy. Alyssa's mom and dad are getting into town today and spending a few days with us. We look forward to the few extra helping hands.

Life is very slowly turning back to things "non-baby." I'm planning the worship service for my candidacy on June 11th and Alyssa is doing some light organizing. Our lives are still, however, a good 99% about baby, which is right and good!!!! We have tentatively planned the baptism for July 30th, and are looking forward to visits from family and friends. Not much else new, I'll continue to post current pics as this little guy comes into his own.

Day 3, Welcome Home Baby William

Driving into our drive, we were greeted by welcome home signs that had been hand made with great care and love. Inside the house, we were further welcomed by flowers and balloons. Thank you all for the warm welcome home!!!

It is wonderful to be home. It is nice to no longer be driven by the hospital schedule, but rather by how William is doing. So far, he is making the transition into the home very easy on us (Alyssa and I expect he is intentionally spoiling us so that we let our guard down so he can bring down the force of his PK'ness in its full glory and wonder :p)

Thank you again for all the calls and visits. Feel free to call and come visit us now that we have baby at home :)
